I can shed light on that for you... his grandson Henry Smith Tanner lived on 3rd and R. My whole family tree is buried in that graveyard. It makes sense that he is there. My mother is Elfreda Tanner (daughter of Henry Bernard) she was raised in that home, as well as her father. Everyone attended the University of Utah.

That family home was purchased by Henry Smith (son of Joseph Smith Tanner) as he was the first Judge of the state when it was formed. He wife, Laura Loretta Woodland Tanner also served in government on the State Legislature.

I love family history and am grateful to see the pages of the Ensign article that we have read for so many years. Thank you so much for sharing!

Jennifer Clark Shorr <3Jennifer Shorrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15407131853377306083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4225309776786278840.post-63060914372577855302015-11-16T07:29:32.483-08:002015-11-16T07:29:32.483-08:00Thanks just saw the movie online last nightThanks just saw the movie online last nightTroyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16693018086530771206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4225309776786278840.post-549989271474037062015-11-16T07:27:46.608-08:002015-11-16T07:27:46.608-08:00Thanks just saw the movie online last nightThanks just saw the movie online last nightTroyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16693018086530771206noreply@blogger.com
